(9th Update) Entry Restrictions due to COVID-19

Penalties on foreign arrivals who violate the government’s COVID-19 instructions have become stiffer.

• Maximum imprisonment: 1 year → 3 years
• Maximum fine: 10 million won → 20 million won

The government came to this action due to the raised risk of infections in communities caused by some foreign arrivals infected with the COVID-19 and did not follow the home quarantine rules and traveled without wearing masks. Except for penalties, all the other policies remain the same.
