There are 2 important updates on the quarantine rules effective from this week – week of Aug 17, 2020.
1. Tightened social distancing rules become effective from the week of Aug 17 due to rapid Covid19 outbreaks in the greater Seoul area over the weekends. In some provinces like Gyeonggi, you can be fined up to 3 million KRW for not wearing a face mask.
2. The South Korean government has suspended support of medical fees for foreign arrivals who found to have violated quarantine rules in South Korea. Quarantine rule violators need to pay full costs by themselves.
